This document covers Ruby/GTK2, the Ruby binding for the GTK library version 2. The reader should have some Ruby knowledge. It would be better if he/she has some experience on X programming, but this is not required. This document is still under construction. Do not hesitate to send comments or as questions to the mailing list. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

This module provides immutable UUID objects (the UUID class) and the functions uuid1(), uuid3(), uuid4(), uuid5() for generating version 1, 3, 4, and 5 UUIDs as specified in RFC 4122. If all you want is a unique ID, you should probably call uuid1() or uuid4(). Note that uuid1() may compromise privacy since it creates a UUID containing the computer's network address. uuid4() creates a random UUID.

Open up notepad on your computer. This is the only software you will need to begin learning html. A quick explanation of tags Due to this article being hosted online I cant actual show you a tag as the webpage you are reading would make it invisible Tags begin with a "<" symbol and end with a ">" symbol. For the purpose of this artical I will replace these with the "[" and "]" symbols. Remember to always use the arrows though as the square brackets WILL NOT WORK.
