AMD have announced the latest in its high-end professional 3D video cards, the ATI FirePro V8750 3D
workstation accelerator, promising four times the processing power over
rival systems. The FirePro V8750 boasts 2GB of memory with
range-topping 115.2GB/sec bandwidth, together with 800 shader
processing units, full 30-bit display pipeline and stream computing
compatibility.
Power users (and gamers especially) know the
importance of a good computer fan system. Even if you have a
liquid-cooled computer, you probably also have a few fans added.
Basically, fans (well, that and the power source) are what
distinguishes a gaming PC from anything else. A gamer tends to buy fans
with voltage control so they can raise or lower the voltage whenever
they deem necessary. But doing it is not always an easy task to
perform, especially if you are a gamer that lacks the necessary
computer skills to do it safely. This is why NZXT has just announced the Sentry 2, a complete
system fan controller that allows you to “feel” your fans via a touch
screen interface.
The EVGA X58 3X SLI
Classified is one hell of a motherboard. It is the most refined, most
feature packed, and most overclockable X58 motherboard we've seen to
date. The X58
Classified has a true 3X SLI PCI Express x16 configuration, utilizing
NVIDIA's NF200 PCI Express bridge chip, along with an additional PCI
Express slot that they claim is for dedicated PhysX. Overclocking features abound here as well,
including support for dual +12V connectors to pump more power to the
CPU, on-the-fly vCore alterations through a hardware control panel,
higher-grade capacitors, 10-phase digital PWM, and a monstrous custom
designed (passive) cooling system. These features are certainly
designed for an extremely small niche market of buyers, but those who
need these features are willing to pay for them. The EVGA X58 Classified motherboard is engineered for those who demand more than just the best!
"The NZXT PP600 & PP800 Power Supplies offer great performance, but the PP800 does outperforms the PP600. The PP600 is a great Power Supply for a mid-range gaming computer build. The PP800 on the other hand is very capable because it's NVIDIA SLI certified. The PP800 if best suited for a high-end gaming rig. If I had my choice I would go with the PP800. "The Raidmax Icecube is an affordable all aluminum Small Form Factor Case. It has an attractive design, water cooling holes, removable motherboard tray, removable HDD cages, 120mm fan and lot of front ports. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
"The Raidmax Iceberg Case is one of the few affordable all aluminum mid-tower cases on the market. It's has great styling, easy open front bezel and side panels, four 120mm fans, and much more. While the four 120mm fans provide excellent cooling they are loud. Also, the four feet are not secured correctly and Raidmax needs to address this problem. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
"The Abit AN78GS Socket AM2/AM2+ Motherboard is based on the NVIDIA® GeForce8200 chipset and supports the AM2 & AM2+ processors. It accepts up to 8GBs of Dual channel DDR2 1066/800/667 un-buffered non-ECC memory. Considering the low cost of this motherboard the performance is really good, although the onboard video is slow when gaming. This is a fantastic option for a Home Theatre PC setup, because it comes with a HMDI connection. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
"The Nexus 80 Plus line of power supplies are available in wattages ranging from 400 to 600. These PSUs have enough power for most mid-range computer systems. I'm looking at the new and improved quieter Nexus NX-8060 600W Modular Silent Power Supply model today. This model is now a little quieter than their 500W and 7.5 dBA quieter than the old 600W version. So it's an excellent choice for a Multi Media HTPC build because it's virtually silent but still provides ample wattage. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
"The Antec signature line of power supplies are currently available in two wattages 650 and 850. I'm looking at the 850W model. First off, this PSU is 80+ bronze certified as well as NVIDIA SLI certified. There are plenty of leads and comes with a quiet 80mm PWM fan. If your looking for a quality power for your hardware gaming rig you should definitely check it out. The Antec SG850 850W Power Supply is one of the best I've ever tested. Although all the leads are not modular and it doesn't have a single +12V rail. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
"The Zalman GS1000 Case is available in two color options and is made from aluminum, steel and plastic. The side panels are aluminum, inside is steel, but the remaining outside is plastic. At the front there are four 5.25" drive bays but two have a 5.25" to 3.5" drive bay adapters. Something unique to this case is the SATA Hot Swap HDD Cage system for the bottom three HDDs. The SATA data & SATA power connectors are inside the case. This system makes connecting & disconnecting HDDs is a snap. Watch the video to find out more." ~3dGameMan.com
