Not long after it was launched in the US by AT&T (as Nokia Surge), the Nokia 6760 has now been announced for Europe too, as Nokia 6760 slide. Looking similar to the Surge, the Nokia 6760 slide comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and access to Google Talk, Windows Live Instant Messaging, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. Nokia 6760 slide will retail for €199 ($283) stating the third quarter of 2009. It will be available only in black for the beginning, but white and red versions will come afterwards.

South Korean mobile phone maker LG has unveiled to the world a brand new handset, dubbed LG GC990 Louvre. The device, showcased at the Korea Products Exhibition held in Warsaw, seems determined to show that Samsung and Sony Ericsson are not the only mobile phone makers that can come to the market with a 12MP camera phone.

Motorola and AT&T have launched the Motorola Karma QA1, a new messaging phone with a slight social-networking focus. Motorola says that you can have one-click access to Facebook and MySpace directly from the device's home screen. Of course there's also a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging. Other features include A-GPS, a 2.0-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5-mm headset jack, a microSD card slot capable of holding up to 16GB cards, quad-band GSM, and 3G.

HTC introduces a completely revamped user interface on the HTC Hero, its latest smartphone running Google's Android software. The new UI allows users to customize the handset; the company calls the new software HTC Sense. It is also the first Android device to support Adobe Flash.

Samsung Jet is one of the latest mobile phones that the South Korean company has unveiled to the world, announced via a global event held in London, Dubai and Singapore on June 15, 2009. According to the phone maker, the new device is “smarter than a smartphone,” and it is expected to reach more than 70 countries all around the world in July.  At the same time, the company also announced that the Samsung Jet had seen an impressive number of pre-ordered units, namely 2 million. According to JK Shin, head of Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, due to its wide availability and the traction it sees on the market already, the new Samsung Jet has great chances of becoming one of the most popular handsets in the mobile phone maker's history.
