Not long after it was launched in the US by AT&T (as Nokia Surge), the Nokia 6760 has now been announced for Europe too, as Nokia 6760 slide. Looking similar to the Surge, the Nokia 6760 slide comes with a
sliding QWERTY keyboard and access to Google Talk, Windows Live Instant
Messaging, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. Nokia 6760 slide will retail for €199 ($283) stating the third
quarter of 2009. It will be available only in black for the beginning,
but white and red versions will come afterwards.
South Korean mobile phone maker LG has unveiled
to the world a brand new handset, dubbed LG GC990 Louvre. The device,
showcased at the Korea Products Exhibition held in Warsaw, seems
determined to show that Samsung and Sony Ericsson are not the only
mobile phone makers that can come to the market with a 12MP camera
phone.
Motorola and AT&T have launched the Motorola Karma QA1, a new messaging phone with a slight social-networking focus. Motorola says that you can have one-click access to Facebook and
MySpace directly from the device's home screen. Of course there's also
a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging. Other features
include A-GPS, a 2.0-megapixel camera, an MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth,
a 3.5-mm headset jack, a microSD card slot capable of holding up to
16GB cards, quad-band GSM, and 3G.
Sony Ericsson have released details on a new phone named the Sony Aino. The Aino is capable of remotely accessing media content on the PS3 games console over 3G or Wi-fi access.
HTC introduces a completely revamped user interface on the HTC Hero,
its latest smartphone running Google's Android software. The new UI
allows users to customize the handset; the company calls the new
software HTC Sense. It is also the first Android device to support Adobe Flash.
Samsung Jet is one of the latest mobile phones
that the South Korean company has unveiled to the world, announced via
a global event held in London, Dubai and Singapore on June 15, 2009.
According to the phone maker, the new device is “smarter than a
smartphone,” and it is expected to reach more than 70 countries all
around the world in July. At the same time, the company also announced that the Samsung
Jet had seen an impressive number of pre-ordered units, namely 2
million. According to JK Shin, head of Mobile Communications Division,
Samsung Electronics, due to its wide availability and the traction it
sees on the market already, the new Samsung Jet has great chances of becoming one of the most popular handsets in the mobile phone maker's history.
Nokia N97, an S60 5th Edition mobile phone, is
expected to come to the market in July on Vodafone's airwaves, and we
must agree that it looks like a great high-end device, not only due to
its 3.5-inch bright nHD TFT resistive touch screen able to offer a 640
x 360 pixel resolution, or to its operating system, but courtesy of the
entire list of hardware components, features and capabilities it will
offer its owners.
Nokia announced at the Mobile World Congress a
new mobile imaging device that combines the wide-angle Carl Zeiss
optics and an 8-megapixel sensor, the Nokia N86 8MP. The new device
comes with both photo snapping and video capture capabilities, while
also sporting high-speed connectivity. According to the company, the
new Nokia N86 will start shipping in the second quarter of the 2009 at
a retail price of EUR 375, before taxes and subsidies.
Nokia has announced the release of yet another Eseries mobile phone, the full-QWERTY
Nokia E72. The new device, introduced at the Nokia Connection event in
Singapore, comes with a wide range of email and instant messaging
capabilities, offering users the possibility to become productive, both
in their personal and professional lives.
Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced the release of another sliding handset, the Sony Ericsson T715. The new
device comes to the market with smart desktop features, direct
reminders of appointments, as well as with notes and animations meant
to remind users of birthdays and global events. In addition, it also
provides quick and easy messaging features, plus the ability to view
conversation history.
