Content Management

 

Content Management, also known as CM, is a set of processes and technologies supporting the evolutionary life cycle of digital information. This digital information is often referred to as content or, to be precise, digital content. High-end content management systems apply workflows, and enable the use and reuse of content and content collections. Content management systems can manage entire binary files (documents), components of files, or XML/SGML data.

I have been blogging for the last few months a lot, and I am getting to know my way around in this open source blogging system. However there is things which I like about this platform and alos things which I don't like about this platform. So I thought I might start to share with everyone and also I would love to see what ppl think. So feel free to add your opinion or comment.

Before begining the install process, we (the XOOPS team) ask that you have a good understanding of how to install and support server/hosted based software. As with anything in life, there's no easy answer or way. Sinice XOOPS is server based, it's not as easy to install as normal desktop software which in itself can be daunting to install so, please be familiar with setting up and installing the software listed below.

More and more people have come to realise that you cannot stand still in business and companies are now recognising that having a website can add real value to their business.  Buying a business website that you cannot update yourself just simply doesn't make sense and until now, the management of a website has been both daunting and expensive but not anymore!
