The SUSE Linux Professional distribution provides the following DHCP-related packages.
Whether or not a specific package is installed on your system depends on the type of installation that you selected.

dhcp —Common files used by both the ISC DHCP server (dhcp-server) andclient (dhcp-client) packages.

dhcp-client —An alternative DHCP client from the ISC. This DHCP client uses the same configuration file as the standard dhcpcd client (/etc/dhclient.conf) and also supports additional configuration through a configuration script (/sbin/dhclient-script) that is called by the dhcp-client daemon.

dhcp-devel —Libraries and headers for developing with the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) dhcpctl API.

dhcp-relay —The ISC DHCP relay agent that routes DHCP messages across physical network segments.

dhcp-server —Provides the ISC DHCP server and associated configuration and documentation files.

dhcp-tools —Provides the dhcpdump and dhcping diagnostic utilities for DHCP. The dhcpdump utility parses tcpdump output and displays DHCP packets for easier analysis. The dhcping utility enables a system administrator to check if a remote DHCP server is up and running.

dhcp6 —A DHCP client and server for IPv6.

dhcpcd —The default DHCP client software used on SUSE systems. The dhcpcd daemon retrieves an IP address and other information from a DHCP server, automatically configures the network interface, and manages lease renewal and release.

yast2-dhcp-server —Support for DHCP server configuration using the SUSE YaST administrative tool.
