Hello Matt, first of all I just want to thank you for being an active member, which this means a lot for me and for every user or every visitor which we have on this web site. Any way, now I would like to respond you on your post.
I have looked on your web site, the site looks very good, it has a profesional look and, also i think ( my opinion ) if I was visiting you your web site for the reason to look for a design I would contact you. What I am concern about it is not the design is the first the seo, and second the services on your web site. Well let me explain step by step so you can understand me.
First I will start with seo, I have looked on your meta tags and I found out that your meta tag is not like it should be.
Description- your description has 54 keywords in the meta description which normal should be between 100 and 250 characters in length.
Meta keywords- usually meta keywords performance should be as well between 100 and 250 keywords lenth, I have looked at yours and you have 474 characters which is a bit to long and this is not so good for the search engines. Also some of your keywords on your meta tag are duplicates- I advise you to remove these keywords from the meta tag:

What is good is that your meta keywords has a 8 % in the body of your page.
Try to consider choosing keywords that are more appropriate to the content of your page, or adding content to your page to match the keywords. Your may want to look at the keywords that were not found in the content of your page and either remove/replace them or add them to the page.

website designer, Professional Web Designer, Web Development, Web Site Developer, Professional Designer, UK, website design, ecommerce development, uk web developer, website designer, uk website designers, custom website designers, uk web design, uk website designer, uk website design, ecommerce website designers, website design uk, website design company, website design services, web design company, small business website design, ecommerce website design, web content management solutions.
Also I found out that on all of your pages you have the same keywords, try to change them , make for every page different keywords.
Well this is what you have to do with your seo, try to optimize it more and better and in this way you can have more success with your business.
The second part is about the services. Is just an advice which maybe u will consider it good or not, is up to you. What I am trying to say is that is you want to have a good web site add good services to the site, make the users to like your services so they contact you. Show more of your services, I have looked at your porfolio and is a link with a small description, my advice is to make it more real, add a screenshot, add a bit more of your description. A small description between 200-400 keywords I think it will be fine.
