Deciding about the advantage of any product over the other can be done only after a thorough and detailed study about them. This is because, any wrong decision made would adversely affect that particular product in the market. Normally, a comparitive study would help to know more about the product that are under neck to neck competition. Here we will discuss about the advantage of the Plasma technology over the LCD technology in brief.

Why Ubuntu has become the flag bearer for Linux

It's easy to argue that Ubuntu's success is because there's an
unlimited supply of investment from its super-rich parent company,
Canonical. But Linux isn't like any ordinary software stack.

People
aren't forced to use it, and we can all choose something else at no
extra cost. Ubuntu has to be doing something right. Ubuntu's biggest,
and earliest, success has been in marketing itself. It's become a
recognisable brand, not only in the Linux community, but in the wider
non-technical world.

For some, the word 'Ubuntu' has become synonymous with Linux. And
that's a vital trick. These are people who would never have considered
Linux as a viable alternative to their proprietary operating systems
before the advent of Ubuntu. Right from the outset,

Ubuntu has been marketed as 'Linux for Human Beings', rather than the
stereotypical anti-social, bearded geeks of Hollywood movies. (It also
helps if you've got a charismatic spaceman to run the show and you can
afford to send out CDs for free.)

The trouble with Linux: it's just not sexy

There are three reasons why Linux isn't succeeding on the desktop,
and none of them are to do with missing functionality, using the
command line or the politics of free software.

The first
is that there's too much momentum behind Microsoft Windows and too many
preconceptions about the alternatives. Linux is perceived as having too
much of a learning curve for relatively few advantages and an unknown
heritage.

Migrating big business to a Linux desktop is akin to turning a
T1-class supertanker around mid-Atlantic. The opposite direction may
look brighter, but it's easier to chug onwards into the storm. You only
have to look at the number of people clinging to Microsoft's venerable
Office suite to see this point clearly.

Element Binding in Silverlight 3.0 with a DataPicker

Element Binding in Silverlight 3.0
Binding control elements one with the other is a very powerful tool that can reduce writing code. Now with Silverlight 3 which is in beta this is easy. There are many examples wherein the values of a given element would depend on the setting of another control and binding elements would reduce the amount code to be written otherwise. This tutorial shows how to set the date on a date picker control that would disply the date in a text box. Although the example by itself trivial, it brings out the essentials of element binding. In order to test this you need to have Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and Silverlight 3.0 installed on your machine.

DynDNS in a nutshell

The Dynamic DNS

Hosting your web application at home, behind an ADSL or even a dial-up Internet connection.

Web applications targeted to support a large concurrent user base or are designed to handle a lot of traffic, will typically be deployed with some number of front-end web servers, maybe with al least one multiprocessor system or a web farm. For such big app you may be with budget to allocate a Private IP service within an opticaal carrier or colocate your boxes with a datacenter services provider.

Test-driven development (TDD) by example

TDD is a programming technique for all programmers to benefit from.

TDD is a programming technique, period. You may be doing TDD for ages and never associated your tricks to this technique, because in essesnce many programmers code a small thing and test that small thing before adding more code. I work this way in every coding work I produced, in the sense the resulting code will become robust at the end with less defect oportunities.
